Today is My boy's Happy Day

I've missed posting Christmas pics. I missed posting snow pics. I missed posting my girl's birthday. I'm gonna post those, I promise. And I'll pre-date them so they will fall in order. I'm the lamest blogger ever. But at least I try to keep up better on Facebook. But today, I'm thinking about that, "Oh Happy Day", Feb. 12, 2002, when Josiah Thomas sat on our lap in front of a judge and became officially a Seidenkranz, officially our flesh and blood through the amazing blessing of adoption. I'm thinking about Libby, and praising God for her and her decision to give Josiah life and to give us the most selfless gift anyone could ever give. What a sacrifice. I love her and hope to tell her that one day face-to-face. How we love this boy of ours.

After school begins the celebration. Nothing big, just hanging out. Mom, dad, and his Mei Mei . . . without stress, without homework, without A/R reading (thank the Lord), without mommy and daddy working . . . but with lots of laughs, smiles, play, sweets, memories, and yes, this year, more silly bands.

Ana Mei Turned 5!

Our baby girl turned 5 on January 11. We went to Cracker Barrel for a breakfast dinner - her choice of course. THen for her party, she had a Mulan party. One of her very favorite princesses.

Happy Fall Festival!

Another successful year at Thompson Station Church with the Fall Festival. We hung out with good friends, the Gusts, the Brownings, the Cox's, and the Hutchenson's.

More Disney Fun

This was a vacation to remember for sure. From the 3 o'clock parade at the magic kingdom, thunder mountain (Ana mei knows no fear!), splash mountain, the characters, to buzz light year ride. Epcot was fun too - we especially enjoyed China and the acrobat show. Hollywood studios was a big hit with Josiah with Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Animal kingdom was our last stop and although it was good too, we were tired and ready to call it a week!

StayCation time!

So it's been since the wedding, that was 12 years ago! Ed's brother's family and sister's family (minus Danelle : -( all came to hang out for a week this summer. We even got to spend time with little Sarah Lynn. Pat, Kelly, and Joshua were blessed to have her in their family for a few months before she went to live with her birth grandma. It was a joy to have gotten to know her. She will be missed and will always be in our hearts! It was so great for Ed to get to spend time with his siblings. And in addition, we got to be a part of Violet getting proposed to by long time boyfriend, now fiance, James. Welcome to the family James!

July 4th Celebration

We spent July 4th with Uncle Mark and Aunt Donna and cousin Jonathan. (That's my brother, Mark). They live on top of a mountain in East TN. There house is their dream home and it is beautiful. Ana Mei calls it a castle. We had a good time relaxing in the hot tub, watching fire works, riding rides at the park, the petting zoo, and just hanging out with family.

MeiLi's birthday!

MeiLi is Ana Mei's friend and crib mate from China. The Chesbros are great friends of ours even though we seem too busy to get together more often. When we do, it's always a good time. Every year, we make sure the girls get to spend time together and birthdays are a must.
