This was a vacation to remember for sure. From the 3 o'clock parade at the magic kingdom, thunder mountain (Ana mei knows no fear!), splash mountain, the characters, to buzz light year ride. Epcot was fun too - we especially enjoyed China and the acrobat show. Hollywood studios was a big hit with Josiah with Star Wars and Indiana Jones. We spent July 4th with Uncle Mark and Aunt Donna and cousin Jonathan. (That's my brother, Mark). They live on top of a mountain in East TN. There house is their dream home and it is beautiful. Ana Mei calls it a castle. We had a good time relaxing in the hot tub, watching fire works, riding rides at the park, the petting zoo, and just hanging out with family.

MeiLi is Ana Mei's friend and crib mate from China. The Chesbros are great friends of ours even though we seem too busy to get together more often. When we do, it's always a good time. Every year, we make sure the girls get to spend time together and birthdays are a must.

This year, SBC (that's southern baptist convention) was in Louisville, KY so I talked the family into going with me. I didn't get to join in much of the fun, but at least I got to hang with the family some and we were together at night in a nice hotel. Ed took the kids to the zoo and to the Louisville Slugger museum.

What a year this was for Josiah and all of us. This is the year we realized JT had ADD and finally came to grips with it. He had a wonderful 2nd grade teacher who helped us through it all. Vicki and Jake came during spring break. It was a good visit. Every spring, we do a family mission project where we make lunches and take them downtown Nashville to the homeless. Where most kids started school this week, Josiah has been in school for 3 weeks at Poplar Grove. We had a great Easter Day. Ed had to play for 3 services so the kids and I came home after the 2nd service so I could cook. The day was great but tonight was even better! Easter goodies came early because dad had to be at 3 services for church Sunday and left the house by 6:30 am. So we decided to do baskets and then dye some eggs. But tonight is what we've all been waiting for. Ana Mei got to see Miss Pattycake live and Josiah got to see Bibleman live. After baking, we headed off to the movies. Today, it was Horton Hears a Who! A funny movie. Ana Mei did pretty good. After about an hour and several handfuls of popcorn, she was ready to move on to something else. She did enjoy it though, as she talked about it a lot after the show.

We had a great Christmas. Josiah received a professional Pearl drum set from santa along with lots of military toys and new games that we had fun playing last night to bring in the new year. This is the first year our church did not have the fall festival because of the construction on campus. So we headed out into the neighborhood for the first time ever to trick or treat. I have to admit I was dreading it, but the kids had a blast and it was actually nice to get out and talk to all of our neighbors some that we see often and others that we had never met. Josiah had his mile run with his Poplar Grove first grade class. The kids made homemade dog treats for Theo. What fun! You can see that they even tasted the dough. It didn't taste too good. Rhett has never been found. I have been so sad and not admitting that I no longer have 2 dogs. I just pray that someone is taking good care of him. I miss him so much. Ana Mei still gives a bone treat to Theo and then says, one for Whett? It makes me so sad especially that she will forget Rhett. I still believe miracles happen today so he may show up yet.
